Operator and the story behind this app

This public-transport journey planner is not provided by a company, transport operator or news organisation. It is a personal, non-commercial and unofficial project created and operated by Keita Okuizumi in his spare time.
Its aim is to reduce the information gaps—and the resulting communication gaps—experienced by foreign residents in Malaysia.

Operator: Keita Okuizumi
Keita has lived in Malaysia since 2011 while working across Asian countries. He began learning Python at the age of 55 and continues to develop this app around his regular work.
Why this app was made
Keita personally found Malaysia’s transport connections difficult to understand and also struggled to find the news and everyday information he needed.
He started this app to help reduce the information inequality and communication problems that can arise between foreign residents and local communities because of language and fragmented sources.
A lifelong interest in railways
Keita has loved trains since childhood, when he built model railways. He has travelled on every railway line in Japan and toured Europe by train with a Eurail Pass.
He hopes to use that experience to make changing between services easier to understand, especially for first-time visitors.
How it is developed
This app is developed independently by checking the official websites and public data of transport operators, then carefully connecting the available information. It is not an official app and does not imply approval, partnership or endorsement by any operator or public authority.
It is not run as a commercial business. It is a personal project that is learned from and improved little by little outside regular working hours.

- Actual services may differ because official websites and public datasets are updated at different times or have to be interpreted from different formats.
- This is a small personal service. When several dozen people access it at the same time, pages and searches may respond more slowly.
What may come next
Alongside improving this journey planner, Keita hopes to build apps introducing Malaysian news and places to eat, little by little around his regular work.
