Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using Mychats.info (the “Service”), which is provided by Keita Okuizumi (the “Operator”, “we” or “us”).

Please read them before you use the Service. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. About the Service

The Service provides information for people who live in or travel to Malaysia. It currently offers rail and bus journey search (route search, finding the nearest stations from your current location, route view, and station and stop details), and, for members, saved routes and search history. The Recent posts feature (posts by members) is in preparation.

The Service is free. We may change, add to or end any content or feature without notice.

2. About the transit information

  • Timetables, lines, and station and stop information are based on public data such as the Malaysian government’s open data (GTFS on data.gov.my). Delays, cancellations and special services may not be shown.
  • Times marked “Estimated” and the route lines drawn on the map (made from OpenStreetMap data) are approximate.
  • Fares may not be shown, or may differ from the actual fare.
  • The distance to the nearest station is a straight-line distance. It is not the same as the distance you actually walk.
  • Weather is a rough guide based on OpenWeather data.
  • Before you board, check the official information from each operator (Rapid KL, KTMB, BAS.MY and others).

3. Translation and AI-generated content

  • The Service is available in 5 languages: Chinese, Malay, English, Korean and Japanese. Parts that have not been translated yet are shown in English.
  • Names marked “Reference rendering (generated)” or “Unverified”, such as station names, are reference renderings created by AI or from a glossary. The official name is the one written in the official data (the original name).
  • Machine translation and AI-generated content may contain errors.

4. Recent posts (posts by members)

  • The Recent posts feature is in preparation. The following conditions will apply once it becomes available.
  • Recent posts lets signed-in members post updates on how services are running, for each line and station (or stop). Posts are written by members and are not official service information.
  • The list shows posts from the last 3 days. Posts are deleted over time once they are more than 14 days old.
  • Please do not post: information that can identify a person (such as a name, phone number or address), content that hurts other people, false service information, advertising, or anything that breaks the law.
  • Members can report inappropriate posts. We may delete inappropriate posts and restrict posting without notice.

5. Members and accounts

  • You sign in with a Google account.
  • If you are under 13, please get your parent’s or guardian’s consent before using the Service.
  • You are responsible for looking after your own account.

6. Prohibited conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

  • break the law or act against public order
  • access the Service or any third-party system without authorisation, or put an excessive load on them
  • collect content in bulk with automated programs (scraping)
  • redistribute the content of the Service, or use it commercially, without permission
  • pretend to be someone else
  • infringe the rights of the Operator or anyone else

7. Intellectual property

The rights to the text, screens and software of the Service belong to the Operator or to their rightful owners.

Public data is used under its own licence (GTFS from data.gov.my under CC BY 4.0, Wikidata under CC0 and OpenStreetMap under ODbL). The sources are shown on each screen.

8. Disclaimer

The information in the Service is general guidance and does not replace official information. We do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or up to date.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage caused by using the Service (including missing a train or bus, or delays to your journey).

9. Personal data

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change the content of the Service, or suspend or end it.

If we change these Terms, we will announce it on the Service. By using the Service after a change, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Service will be heard at first instance exclusively by the Tokyo District Court, as agreed between the parties.

However, laws that apply to you, such as Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), also apply to how your personal data is handled.

12. Language

These Terms are shown in 5 languages. If the language versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
